UPTR – Union of Professional Road Transport Operators
A trade federation, the UPTR (Union of Professional Road Transport Operators) is primarily tasked with protecting and developing the sector's economic interests while defending its members.
The Transport & Logistics sector for third parties employs no less than 90,000 people in Belgium.
Irrespective of the issue (economic, taxation, social, environment, etc...), the UPTR firmly upholds the interests of Belgian transport operators and logistics engineers.
Set up in 1936, the UPTR's had only a regional scope in the early days. The steady expansion of its services and nationwide acknowledgement of its professional defence activities has led to a huge increase in UPTR membership in recent years.
Established since the year 2000 in Brussels and Flanders, where it has been operating with growing success, the UPTR now lays claim to the enviable status of being the most representative transporter operator federation in Belgium.
This aim is inconceivable without providing a comprehensive range of services and top-quality information.
On the political front (nationwide, regional and even European) the UPTR is continuing to campaign for Belgian companies to be granted the right to defend themselves against their non-Belgian competitors. Nothing more, nothing less !
